Aldata G.O.L.D. version 5.0.5 - Pruduct introduction management, store traceability, assigned sales ans supply chain enhancements

Aldata today announced the general availability of the next release of its G.O.L.D. supply chain software
Containing technical and business functional enhancements, G.O.L.D. V5.0.5 affirms Aldata’s focus on retail and its position in being one step ahead in the global supply chain software market.
Collaborative Product Introduction Management / Pre-Referencing
Enhancing collaboration between retailers and suppliers, this permits full product pre-referencing - the commercial activity between a supplier and a retailer before the product is included in the retailer’s catalogue. It is workflow-enabled with a parameterisable set of business process steps.
Store Traceability
Traceability extensions for store operations via the capture of traceability indicators within G.O.L.D. Shop, Aldata’s store management software, and the generation of traceability messages, via XML, to G.O.L.D. Track, Aldata’s traceability archival and analysis system.
Enhancements
Functional highlights include:
- Home delivery and returns within the assisted sales process,
- Enhancements to Open To Buy (OTB) management,
- Franchising extensions enabling local product, supplier and pricing management,
- Additional processes for G.O.L.D. Mobile, Aldata’s web-services architected software for in-store mobile operations, including clearance sales management,
- Demand forecasting improvements for sales history smoothing,
- Seasonal sales operation planning management,
Technology enhancements include:
- Oracle 10g and Oracle RAC support,
- Linux support : Red Hat under Itanium for the database server and Suse 8.0 and Mandrake 10.1 for the client,
- Inbound and outbound XML interfaces.
