Fraunhofer IML publishes overview of personnel resource planning in Italian warehouse locations

54 Italian warehouse locations took part in the survey. From logistics service providers to manufacturing companies and retailers, both small and medium-sized enterprises and large companies answered questions about their current approach to resource planning in the warehouse.

The Fraunhofer IML is hereby creating transparency about the current use of resource planning systems (RPS) in warehouses. The results show which tools and methods the sites use for personnel resource planning in the warehouse, which criteria are used and how satisfied they are with the solution currently in use. A special focus is placed on the use of resource planning systems. The survey analyses how the RPS is integrated into the existing IT system landscape and which other logistics IT systems are used by the companies. The survey also provides exciting insights into the benefits of an RPS and the implementation challenges when introducing an RPS.

The published results relate exclusively to the Italian market. An expansion to other European countries (DACH region, France, Poland, UK, Spain) is currently in progress and will be published in Q3/2024. Take the opportunity to participate via the following link: Link to the survey.
