At MODEX 2026, Swisslog will ask attendees if they are »Ready For the Next«

24.02.2026

Swisslog will also unveil AgileStore, a roaming pallet shuttle for high-density pallet storage.

Swisslog, a leading provider of best-in class warehouse automation and software, will showcase how forward-thinking automation strategies help businesses stay ready for what’s next at MODEX 2026, April 13–16 in Atlanta. Swisslog experts will be onsite in booth #B14732 to discuss how automation is not a one-time investment, but a continuous journey that evolves alongside operational needs and market demands.

»Being ready for the next means looking beyond the automation you need today,« said Mike Barker, president and CEO of Swisslog Americas. »It’s about building a competitive advantage that allows your supply chain to perform reliably now while remaining flexible enough to adapt to whatever comes next. When companies partner with Swisslog, they gain a solution designed for today’s challenges and tomorrow’s opportunities.«

Flexible and scalable solutions

To underscore this theme, Swisslog is unveiling AgileStore, a new 4-way roaming pallet shuttle for high-density pallet storage. This advanced automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) offers a powerful and modular solution for warehouses seeking to maximize space utilization and adapt quickly to changing demand. The debut of AgileStore highlights Swisslog’s partnership with Eurofork.

AgileStore supports forward, backward, lateral and vertical travel, delivering unmatched flexibility in dynamic warehouse environments. Unlike traditional bi-directional shuttles, the roaming pallet shuttle seamlessly transitions across aisles and levels via integrated lift systems. This multi directional capability enables:

  • Cross aisle travel and level changes without additional equipment, allowing any shuttle to access any load.
  • Dynamic routing based on real time warehouse needs.
  • Reduced manual interventions and simplified operations.
  • Highly flexible storage layouts, including deep lane configurations.

A live demonstration of Swisslog’s SynQ is also being featured in the booth. Swisslog’s intelligent core of automated intralogistics enables real-time orchestration of warehouse operations, allowing customers to respond dynamically to changing order volumes, labor constraints, and inventory fluctuations. SynQ empowers businesses to optimize order fulfillment with confidence while reducing complexity through its broad range of functionality incorporating features from WMS, WES and WCS in the platform.

Visitors will learn how Swisslog’s comprehensive portfolio of best-in-class robotics and software solutions helps operations achieve greater flexibility and scalability across a wide range of applications, including food and beverage, general merchandise, apparel, and omnichannel warehousing. The portfolio on display includes the latest automation technology designed to help ensure companies are ready for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Industry insight and real-world experience

Swisslog automation experts will share their warehouse automation experience and expertise in three educational seminars at the show. During the session, »Scaling with Confidence: BJ’s Journey to Automated Distribution,« attendees will learn how BJ’s Wholesale Club is using automation to enhance supply chain agility and member satisfaction. Marcello Aldorasi, director of robotics and automation, at BJ’s and Ben Lee, vice president of integrated solutions at Swisslog, will explore how BJ’s is building a flexible and scalable distribution network, including its new Commercial Point, Ohio, facility.

Swisslog’s Bill Stenger, senior vice president of sales, joins AutoStore and Cardinal Health for the session, »Pharma Distribution Reimagined: A Robotic Revolution in Fulfillment.« Attendees of the session will learn how automation, robotics and intelligent systems are transforming distribution operations by streamlining operations, enhancing employee safety, improving customer experience and supporting scalability in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Finally, attendees of the session, »Automation for the Long Haul: Strategic Expansion Insights from MHI ASRS Group,« will hear from industry experts, including Dan Cahalan, sales director at Swisslog, about how to implement automation with long-term success in mind. This session is designed to help companies guide their automation strategy and expansion planning, including identifying the best automation fit and deciding between brownfield and greenfield.
