Körber is speeding up AI innovations in logistics and supply chains in collaboration with NVIDIA
17.03.2026
This initiative combines Körber’s decades of industry expertise and data assets with NVIDIA’s advanced AI and simulation technologies. Using NVIDIA Omniverse libraries, Körber will create physics-based digital twins of warehouses and logistics facilities. These twins replicate the properties of the physical world and enable a new level of intelligence, efficiency, and speed in defining today’s complex logistics systems.
Transforming Logistics with Physical AI
The collaboration focuses on the application of so-called physical AI: AI systems that understand and interact with the physical world through physics-based simulations.
Using digital twins created with NVIDIA Omniverse libraries, Körber can map real-world processes with photorealistic precision, incorporating data from decades of experience in logistics and parcel logistics. This enables scenario testing, rapid prototyping, and even the training of advanced robotics, such as humanoid systems.
A Strategic Acceleration
The collaboration offers significant benefits to Körber and its customers in the pharmaceutical, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), food and beverage, courier, express, and parcel (CEP), retail, and e-commerce sectors:
- Innovation: Rapid prototyping and testing of new logistics solutions in virtual environments.
- Efficiency: Reliable simulation of complex scenarios such as peak loads, system failures, and layout changes.
- Scalability: Reuse of digital simulation models across various facilities worldwide.
»The partnership with NVIDIA marks a pivotal moment for Körber and the supply chain industry,« says Helena Garriga, a member of the Körber Group Executive Board and head of the Supply Chain business unit. »By integrating NVIDIA’s state-of-the-art AI and simulation capabilities with our deep operational expertise, we are redefining what intelligent logistics can achieve and delivering scalable, adaptable, and future-proof solutions to our global customers.«
Group-Wide Opportunities
Körber is driving AI, automation, and simulation across the entire group. Scalable digital models and proven methods are being gradually implemented in additional areas to strengthen innovation and customer value throughout the group.
»The digital twins we are developing together with NVIDIA represent a major step forward for our customers,« says Stephan Seifert, CEO of Körber. »They make it possible to design, simulate, and optimize complex processes in a fully virtual environment—long before hardware is installed. This shortens the path from idea to go-live, enables faster and more informed decisions, and delivers measurable performance gains. This technology partnership underscores our clear commitment to creating sustainable value for our customers—and is another important step on our journey toward the future with LIFE 2035.«
