PSI gains another new client in the steel sector in Brazil

Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos do Brasil chooses PSImetals
PSI was commissioned by the Brazilian company Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos do Brasil Ltda. to supply PSImetals as Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for the new steelworks in Jeceaba, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos will use the components PSImetals Production and PSImetals Quality for the steelworks, rolling mill and finishing process.
Vallourec & Sumitomo Tubos do Brasil is a joint venture between the French Group Vallourec and Japanese Sumitomo Metal Industries. The newly integrated plant has a total capacity of 600,000 tons of seamless tubes per year. Vallourec is Europe’s and Sumitomo is Asia’s leading manufacturer of steel tubes.
