Release of SAP S/4HANA 1709 On-Premise

Embedded Transportation Management is a key innovation of this latest release, as well as the second release of embedded Extended Warehouse Management. By this, we introduce additional deployment variants for our customers and bring best-of-breed functionality closer to the core and simplify.
SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain for Transportation Management is the first release that embeds the best-of-breed functionality in the SAP S/4HANA solution. By embedding SAP TM inside S/4HANA, it provides companies with unprecedented system integration of holistic transportation management. This release enables customers to optimize their transportation process end-to-end and harmonize their transportation master data, such as business partners, locations and product masters – allowing the company to build and maintain one set of data used by all business units. Shippers will benefit most from this first release of Transportation Management embedded in the S/4 HANA.
The SAP S/4HANA 1709 release brings updates to SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) including simplification in Master Data maintenance with a Fiori app to maintain product master including warehouse data, integration with SAP Transportation Management (TM) embedded in S/4HANA, full quality management processes and additional elimination of redundant delivery objects. A new Fiori transaction for pick-cart handling and change-management for deliveries address challenges in e-commerce fulfillment while processes to consolidate partial stock quantities help optimize space utilization. Significant enhancements in Labor Management include ease of maintenance for engineered labor standards and travel distance as well as time-and-attendance enhancements for planning and reporting. Finally, new warehouse analytics powered by HANA using Core Data Services views are introduced.
