A Key Player in Intralogistics: Hörmann Logistik GmbH acquires majority stake in Klatt Fördertechnik GmbH

The company Klatt Fördertechnik, based in Neumarkt at Lake Wallersee, has developed into a well-known manufacturer of conveyor systems in its 19 years of being in business. »With this merger, we are strengthening our core competencies and strategically expanding them,« emphasizes Steffen Dieterich, Managing Director of Hörmann Logistik. His CEO colleague Oliver Vujcic adds: »For both companies, there are many synergies for ambitious growth«.

While Hörmann Logistik concentrates on project planning and implementation of general contractor projects, Klatt Fördertechnik focuses on innovations and customized conveyor solutions. Thus both companies strengthen their expert status in the intralogistics sector and offer their mainly medium-sized customers excellent solutions as competent and reliable partners throughout Europe. »We are looking forward to a successful future with Hörmann Logistik,« says Peter Klatt, Managing Director of Klatt Fördertechnik.

The expertise of Hörmann Logistik lies in decades of experience as a general contractor for intralogistic solutions for a wide range of industries. Hörmann Logistik's team of around 70 people implements fully automatic high-bay warehouses, small parts warehouses and their connection to production and order picking, from project planning and project management to the company's own warehouse management system »Hörmann intra Logistics System« (HiLIS). Klatt Fördertechnik convinces as a full-range supplier of conveyor technology for pallets, containers, cartons and custom-made products with imaginative designs and proven products in the premium segment.

Klatt Fördertechnik, sets high standards with, for example, its toothed belt technology in the roller conveyors of the pallet conveyor system, which is characterized by low noise emission, low maintenance requirements and high availability. »Automation is the focus,« emphasizes Peter Klatt. Klatt Fördertechnik has a unique selling point in air baggage handling with a patent-pending system for automatic baggage alignment. The system aligns baggage - regardless of weight, colour or shape - with a nearly 100 percent rate of accuracy. »These and other special applications and new developments enable us to open up sustainable, strategic markets together and underscore our common extensive industry know-how,« says Steffen Dieterich.
