Michael Huber Polska implements Effect Warehouse from Consafe Logistics

Michael Huber Polska - one of the world's largest printing ink manufacturers – has chosen Effect Warehouse for improving their logistics processes.

The project is divided into few steps. During the first one Effect Warehouse will be implemented in the company central warehouse in Wrocław (4200 m²) . Next implementations are planned for warehouses in Warsaw, Gdańsk, Cracow, Poznań and Szczecin.

The efficiency of the warehouse in Wrocław wasn’t satisfactory due to ‘paper based’ workflow causing manual errors during the picking process. Michael Huber Polska produces a wide range of printing inks which come in various types of packagings. Additionaly, some of the goods as flammable and explosive have to be kept separately. Consafe Logistics has started the implementation with labelling the warehouse - every pallet localizaton has received its unique number. Consafe Logistics has also produced and installed tablets for racks.

Effect Warehouse will improve the picking process – the most popular goods will be localized closer to the dispatch area. The system will also handle the return packages.

Consafe Logistics has supplied Michael Huber Polska with radio terminals MC9090 from Motorola and printers from Zebra Technologies communicating directly with Effect Warehouse.

"Once the system is implemented we expect to reduce the number of complaints by eliminating manual errors and better quality of the picking process. It will bring savings in costs and let us use better our transport resources", says Bożena Bodek, Managing Director at Michael Huber Polska.
