Supervisory Board of Siemens AG confirms changes in company’s Managing Board

At its extraordinary meeting on June 9, 2010, the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG accepted Heinrich Hiesinger’s early resignation from the Managing Board of Siemens AG, effective September 30, 2010.
As part of a reallocation of tasks within the Managing Board, the Supervisory Board also appointed Siegfried Russwurm CEO of the company’s Industry Sector, effective July 1, 2010. Brigitte Ederer, currently CEO of Siemens AG Österreich and CEO of Siemens’ Cluster Central Eastern Europe, was appointed Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG, effective July 1, 2010. As successor to Siegfried Russwurm, Ms. Ederer will serve as Head of Siemens’ Corporate Human Resources Department and be responsible within the Managing Board for the Region Europe. She will also perform the duties of Labor Director pursuant to Section 33 of the German Codetermination Act (MitbestG).
