LogiMAT 2019: S&P Computersysteme presents the new Material Flow Controller

11.01.2019

The S&P Computersysteme GmbH, provider of intra logistics IT solutions, shows from 19. – 21. feb-ruary 2019 at the LogiMAT, Stuttgart Trade Fair, hall 8, stand C41, which software components enable optimal intralogistics solutions, that especially request automated processes and maximum mobility.

Just as in other industry sectors is also in the intralogistics everyone talking about automation technologies and it has developed into an essential component, to consider increased demands reliable. Thereby the decision makers of such projects are confronted with various trends and requirements. How can a process with human and machine be integrated economical, ergonomical and sustainable? How can the complexity be managed, that rises through the assignment of requested extremly modern technologies. What additional risks rise through automatization during operation? The newly developed Material Flow Controller (MFC) from S&P waits with customer-friendly solution approaches to this questions. The valuable feel and the fresh look, as known from the entire product line of S&P, were transferred there.

The conductor in the automation orchestra

The trend towards highly automated perfomant distribution and production supply centres is continuing. A lot of advanced systems and technologies should help to meet the requirements in regard to the increase in productivity consistent with the tense staff situation, without endangering the patency of the logistic processes beyond the limits processes boundaries. Important qualitative targets like maintainability, stability, testability and performance have been the setup for the professional requirements of the material flow experts from Stuttgart and led to outstanding results, which were already appointed succesful in complex logistic projects in 2017. Agil methods such as test-driven-development have helped the development team to implement a determined test automation. The fundamentally new conceived platform technology enables the compatibility of standard sofware and customized components. Another benefit for the customer is the increased reusability of logistic solutions by simple upgrades.

Continuous improvement for User Interface and mobile devices

Inspired by the consequent comparison of mobile process software and consumer apps the perceptions flows directly into the implementation of several current projects. The focus is on the constant and cross-device improvements of the user interface. For the MFC a real time visualzation has been implemented, that can be integrated seamless in places, where transport requests are getting displayed and which interprets information directly about sensor technology, engines and scanners. Other improvements include the generatable reports and also a new framework for the mobile dialog. By the latter the operater receives through highly configurable display technologies, which is usually known from bigger devices, mostly also its utility for mobile devices. Especially for the variety of new MDE’s with android operating systems the integrated hardware and software is usable significantly better. Examples for this can be found in the integration of camera-based scanners or RFID readers.
