Andreas Brand is the new authorized signatory at SWAN

Project house for SAP logistics expands management team with acknowledged SAP expert

SWAN GmbH nominates a further authorized signatory. The growing company enlarges its existing management team by Andreas Brand, Director SAP Realization. Andreas Brand now has joint proxy for the company in addition to Managing Director Alexander Bernhard and the existing authorized signatories Yvonne Oehme and Kai Starke. This means he is authorized to represent SWAN GmbH externally with legal effect. By adding Andreas Brand to its management team, the SAP logistics expert is continuing its growth strategy and further expanding its operational and decision-making ability across all locations.

SWAN GmbH strengthens its executive management and authorizes Andreas Brand, Director SAP Realization, with power of attorney. By nominating a third authorized signatory, SWAN is taking another important step in its further strategic development. The SAP logistics expert is particularly strengthening the decision-making and action ability in Giebelstadt, one of the company’s three major business locations. »We are pleased to welcome Andreas Brand, an experienced team player, to the management team. Above all, we benefit from his experience in managing challenging and complex IT projects as well as his deep SAP expertise,« emphasizes Alexander Bernhard.

The signs point to growth

Andreas Brand holds the position of »Director SAP Realization« together with Kai Starke. As a dual leadership team, both are responsible for managing SWAN’s customer-side implementation projects. As a new member of the Executive Management, Andreas Brand’s further activities will focus on cross-company coordination, expanding corporate development and helping to define the company’s future strategy. Furthermore, he is enforcing the strengthening of the SAP EWM division, the expansion of the SAP TM division as well as the future internationalization.

SWAN is operating in a stable market and has full order books. Despite the ongoing crises, the logistics sector is growing, especially in Central Europe. »We offer a diverse portfolio of solutions covering non-industry-specific SAP solutions,« Andreas Brand explains. »As a result, we are growing along with booming industries and can put our expertise in logistics to profitable use for our customers. At the same time, our goal is to open up new areas of business – there is an enormous amount of potential in the Transportation Management business in particular.«

In Andreas Brand’s area of responsibility, recruiting also plays an important role: » For us, it is important to keep people motivated – and thus to keep our employees in the company. At the same time, we want to inspire new employees to join us. Our SWAN Academy is an important part of that.«

Continuation of collaboration

After graduating in business informatics, Andreas Brand started his professional career at SSI Schäfer – initially as an EWM developer and consultant. Lastly, he worked there as group manager EWM. As a result of the merger with SSI Schäfer and the related transfer of the SAP business, he joined SWAN after almost ten years. »With the nomination of Andreas Brand to the leadership team, we are consistently continuing the integration of SSI Schaefer’s SAP division, including all employees and subsidiaries, and are strengthening the already excellent collaboration,« says Alexander Bernhard. » Besides his technical skills, his close connection to previous SSI Schaefer projects and employees as well as his strategic perspective make him a valuable member of the leadership team,« continues Alexander Bernhard.
