We're at the LogiMAT!

The annual LogiMAT is the leading trade fair for intralogistics solutions and process management and is the largest intralogistics trade fair in Europe. Visitors and exhibitors are offered a complete overview and competent knowledge transfer about the market. As every year, the Intralogistics and IT Planning department of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML will be on site.

The institute works on the practical development of new processes, methods and tools for logistics. In addition to »warehouse logistics«, the department for intralogistics and IT planning focuses on analysis, conceptual planning, support for tenders and realisation support for the design of efficient and sustainable logistics.

The main theme of the Fraunhofer IML stand is »Open Labs - Shaping the future together«. Open source software creates digital independence for companies and prevents the emergence of individual gatekeepers in certain areas of technology. Open Labs brings together partners from related industries and fields of application to work together on innovative open source solutions.

In addition, representatives of the Fraunhofer IML will take part in the LogiMAT Arena with the experts. Dr Veronika Kretschmer will discuss the shortage of skilled workers with other experts. Prof. Dr Dr h. c. Michael ten Hompel will chair a specialist forum and discuss the future of intralogistics with three young founders. Volker Lange will also talk about digital packaging. In the Exhibitor Insight Forum South, Hall 8, there will also be a book presentation by our colleague Lea Isfort on the topic of »Process optimisation in intralogistics - using methods, software and AI sensibly«.

As every year, we will also be available to answer questions about the »warehouse logistics« platform.
