Ringnes selects Swisslog as supplier for next-level automation solution

Ringnes is expanding capacity at its main brewery in Gjelleråsen outside Oslo. As part of a major facility upgrade, the beverage supplier will also rebuild its warehouse. Ringnes has chosen Swisslog as the supplier for its new automated warehouse system.

This bodes well for ourcontinued collaboration with installation and operation.«
The solutions to be implemented at Gjelleråsen are structured into three key areas:
- Dispatch and Storage:This section will feature aPowerStore pallet shuttle system,ProMove conveyor system,automated guided vehicles(AGVs), andSynQ softwareto streamline dispatch and storage operations.
- Inbound Handling:A dedicated system will manage the receipt and handling of production materials, ensuring efficient and accurate inbound logistics.
- Block Storage and Dispatch Integration:This area will feature a ProMove conveyor system and AGVs, integrated with two existing high-bay warehouses to support block storage and dispatch operations.
All material flows are managed by Swisslog's SynQ software and Kollmorgen systems to ensure streamlined operations.

Work to upgrade the facility is already underway. Swisslog will start work on installing the new warehouse system at the beginning of November 2025. The new facility is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2027.
