Perspectives and assessments of future developments in logistics IT

The latest publication from »Team warehouse logistics« brings together assessments and provides insights into key future topics in logistics IT.

Artificial intelligence, automation, and robotics are transforming logistics. But how do leading providers of logistics IT systems assess these developments, and what requirements for the systems do they entail? What opportunities do they see, and what are the current challenges?

In addition to these questions, the publication also addresses how relevant a neutral IT selection such as »warehouse logistics« is for the market today and in ten years' time, and which approaches are important for identifying technological trends in good time and deriving robust concepts from them.

The findings are based on discussions at the annual meeting of the »warehouse logistics« community at the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML in Dortmund. This is where providers of logistics IT systems come together to exchange ideas on current market developments, innovations, and challenges, among other things. This publication summarizes the key findings from this exchange.
