HNE Logistics Chooses PROLAG World: Modern Warehouse Management for a Logistics Center for Energy Storage Systems

HNE Logistics GmbH has successfully migrated its warehouse management to CIM GmbH’s PROLAG World warehouse management software. Since March 2026, the warehouse management system has been controlling all warehouse processes at the St. Florian (AT) site, one of Europe’s largest logistics centers for energy storage solutions and photovoltaic components.

With the introduction of PROLAG World, HNE is replacing its previous warehouse management system with a modern and scalable solution that meets the growing demands of contract logistics. Among other things, the company stores lithium batteries and hazardous materials in storage classes 8 through 13, and manages the individual requirements of various clients within a single centralized system.

In addition to a high level of process reliability, PROLAG World stood out in particular for its integrated serial number management, hazardous substance and hazardous materials management, and warehouse fee billing. Thanks to the software’s modular design, the system can also be flexibly adapted to future requirements.

The implementation proceeded remarkably quickly: only four and a half months elapsed between the project kick-off and go-live. Thanks to close collaboration among the project teams and the consistent use of standard processes, normal operations were able to resume in full just a few days after implementation.

Today, HNE Logistics benefits from significantly greater transparency in the warehouse, standardized processes, and precise inventory management. At the same time, storage fees and value-added services are billed directly within the warehouse management system. The integrated hazardous materials strategy also ensures clearly defined storage areas and supports the safe handling of sensitive goods.
