Major contract with Bulgaria’s largest producer of generic medicine

This project will support Sopharma Trading two-digits market share increase in 2008

With an eye to further expansion, Sopharma Trading has given the go-ahead for the construction of a fully automised order processing warehouse, covering a total area of 4,700 m². The planning and construction of this “ideal warehouse” is based on logistical specifications made by KNAPP. 70 % of the order lines to be picked from the fast and medium-moving product range are to be processed automatically; RF terminals in four manual stations shall cover the picking of coldstorage products and products not suitable for processing on a central belt. KNAPP is to install a double-aisle AS/RS system (approx. 25,000 storage locations), a fastmover autopicker SDA-2000 (with 1,140 channels) and a KNAPP WMS.

This project will support Sopharma Trading two-digits market share increase in 2008, which is 19,7 % at the moment. The order is worth 2.8 million euros and the new building is scheduled to start operating in August 2008.
