inconso expands portfolio with load space optimization inconsoLSO

inconso AG has expanded its product and services portfolio with the load space optimization solution inconsoLSO (LSO = Load Space Optimization).

Along with the numerous components belong to the inconso Transport Management, algorithms for three step optimization of shipping cartons, pallets and load spaces are available.

The algorithms can be used as individual steps or as a combined three step process. For the optimization, restrictions such as stack factor, stackability and allowed combinations are considered alongside parameters like nesting. Results are shown both graphically and in table grids and can be changed in editing mode. Printouts of various reports – for example, the loading list – can be produced easily.

There are two variations of the load space optimization: A full version is developed and operates as a stand-alone application. The communication with other systems occurs via interfaces.

In addition, the load optimization can be completed using a so-called “Engine Version”. In this form, the intelligence, the algorithms, are separated from the user interface. Using the engine variation, the inconsoWMS Product Suite as well as the Transport Management System inconsoTMS functionality has been extended.

In addition, the engine version is available as an add-on in the SAP environment.

Wilfried Pfuhl, responsible for the product development at inconso AG, sees the extension of the product and services portfolio with load space optimization as an important building block on the way to inconso AG becoming a full service provider for Supply Chain applications.
