PSI Enrolled at the RWTH Aachen

Support of research clusters Logistics and sustainable Energy Technology

The PSI Group is one of the first companies to enroll at the RWTH Aachen campus as it comes into being. As a leading industrial partner of the research cluster Logistics, PSI is involved with the production management solutions in the ERP Innovation Lab of the myOpenFactory initiative and in the logistics theater. In the environmentally friendly and sustainable Energy Technology, PSI is represented as a project partner in the Smart Watts project.

A total of 19 research clusters form the scientific core of the campus where partners from industry and academic institutions work together long-term and across disciplines with defined research focuses. In the research cluster Logistics, a production line demonstrates the interaction of processes and systems on the basis of a real value-added chain. In the associated ERP Innovation Lab, the ERP solution PSIpenta has already been completely integrated in a virtual environment.

The ERP Innovation Lab consolidates the knowledge collected from many ERP projects and dedicates itself to research-driven and industry-sponsored questions regarding standardization, integration and adaptability. Together with other providers, systems houses and the Forschungsinstitut für Rationalisierung e.V., PSI is developing solutions for users which allow companies to react globally, both quickly and efficiently.
