Aldata Category Optimization Recognized by Leading Analyst Firm

Aldata, a global leader in retail and distribution optimization software, is recognized in Gartner’s Assortment and Space Optimization Capabilities for Consumer Goods Manufacturing.

The research, published on April 24, 2012, provides an overview of assortment optimization providers to the consumer goods industry.

According to the Gartner research, “One of the keys to unlocking growth in the consumer goods industry is increasing collaboration between consumer goods manufacturers and retailers when it comes to assortment and merchandising decisions. One way to do this is by using assortment and space optimization (ASO) technology, collaboratively, with your retail customers, to determine the right assortment of products at whatever level of granularity is required.”

The research was prepared by Don Scheibenreif, a research VP with Gartner's Industries Research group, who works with Gartner's consumer goods manufacturing clients to help them understand the technologies and trends that will drive consumer demand and engagement in a holistic manner. The research looks at both the key assortment and space optimization capabilities and implementation by key geography for each vendor.
