PSIPENTA Presents New Man-Machine Interfaces for Industry 4.0 Processes at the Hannover Messe 2014

04.03.2014

The manufacturing specialist PSIPENTA Software Systems GmbH will be presenting three dimensional visualisations of real production systems at the Hannover Messe from 7 to 11 April at its stand at the Digital Factory (Hall 7 Stand A26). New man-machine interface concepts will be presented under the motto of “Software Solutions One Step Ahead“.

Prototypes will demonstrate controlling with touch screens or non-contact with Microsoft® Kinect™ technology or by means of thoughts using bio-feedback systems.

At its booth, PSI will demonstrate innovative concepts and methods for integrating Industry 4.0 applications. This concurs with the theme of Hannover Messe 2014 “Integrated Industry – NEXT STEPS” – the realisation of this futuristic project. The core of the trade fair scenario is the innovative interactive usability concept for the parties involved in the production process. For visitors, the future will be on display. Users will be able to control production processes at three stations, Touch!, Move!, Think! Innovative support systems will aid the users to use the systems more efficiently. The usability aspects such as “ease of use” and “joy of use” as well as interactive functions from the gaming industry play an important role in the PSI development. This makes it possible to simplify the realistic assessment of the current situation as well as the operation of the systems involved in complex production environments.

Another highlight is the new Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) Demonstrator. This functionally integrates the widely used PSIpenta/Adaptive Module including the finite scheduler with PSI’s embedded Qualicision® technology. Optimised sequences in the supply chain are regulated in the production process with adaptive functions. In this way the value-added networks can be controlled synchronously with the market.
