Digital, Continuous Process Control: Schaeffler and inconso Receive »elogistics award«

26.04.2018

AKJ Automotive recognizes inconso’s solution for internal logistics

Standardized, streamlined and easy to learn: With these attributes, the »ATS call-off and transport system« installed at Schaeffler by inconso was awarded the elogistics award 2018 on April 11, 2018. The prizewinners accepted their awards during the 33rd AKJ annual congress in Saarbrücken. This innovative software solution prevailed against numerous competitors in the category »digital, end-to-end process control.«

Projects were honored in three categories, which combined logistics and information processing and scored with high levels of innovation, originality or speed improvements. The system inconso implemented at Schaeffler especially amazed the jury with its optimized processes in internal logistics. The core of the system is an SAP integrated solution developed by inconso for optimized planning and control of internal material transports, which create continuous process transparency in picking and flexible environments for both consumption and demand-driven material supply processes. The data obtained in the course of seamless process support is the basis for standardized process monitoring and can be used to improve processes in SAP.

This marks the 19th time the AKJ Automotive working group presented the elogistics award at its 33rd annual congress (»supply chain transformation – shaping innovation together!«). The awards were presented during the festive evening event by Mr. Jürgen Lenhof, Head of Department at the Saarland Ministry of Economics, Labor, Energy and Transport, together with members of the jury.

This award provides the impetus for the Schaeffler-wide rollout of the integrated logistics concept together with inconso.
