GUS Group presents new GUS-OS Suite.
The GUS Group has completely revised its GUS-OS Suite of ERP enterprise software for the process industry, customizing it to the increasingly exacting requirements of a digitized world of work and production. The software has a large number new functions and a more modern and user-friendly interface.
»Connecting people and machines, the trend to mobile work, and processing ever larger data quantities pose enormous challenges for the process industry and require a realignment of ERP systems,« says Dirk Bingler, Management Spokesman, GUS Deutschland. At GUS, Release 6.0 lays the groundwork for this realignment. For the purely Web-based ERP application’s new version GUS has greatly expanded the underlying technology platform, thereby enabling a new usability of the software to be created and, at the same time, many new functions to be realized simply.
Focus on user-friendliness
Via dashboards, for example, – so-called interactive management centers – users can create role- or task-based views, generate individual layouts, and color, sort and edit individual fields. The user can thereby concentrate on decision-relevant information. Furthermore, user interfaces adapt to the different terminal devices, such as smartphones or industrial PCs. »According to a recent study by the market analyst Trovarit, usability is by far the most important criterion for assessing the acceptance of ERP systems,« Bingler says. »This aspect was a special focus in the development of the GUS-OS Suite 6.0.«
More flexibility
The new technological basis makes individual customer requirements much easier to implement by means of parameterization (customizing). The new Workflow Designer maps standard scenarios better and simplifies the creation of new business processes without complex programming. Great importance was attached to the new release not changing the GUS-OS Suite’s existing business logic. GUS offers a seamless update path from the previous 5.3 version. This means that the new pages are installed automatically but the user decides which of them he wants to activate.
