»Vision, Technology and 100 Percent Innovation« was the Initiative Mittelstand jury’s verdict on the GUS Group’s GUS-OS Suite, which was awarded the Initiative’s 2015 Innovation Prize in the ERP category at CeBIT.
The jury attached special importance to the range of modules and the intuitive user interface of an enterprise solution that is optimized for quality-oriented process industry companies (in pharmaceuticals, food, chemicals, cosmetics, medical technology, and biotech) and for logistics enterprises.
»We need digital SMBs in order to strengthen the German economy,« said Floris van Heijst, in charge of SMB and Partner business at Microsoft Germany and this year’s Initiative Mittelstand patron. The GUS-OS Suite is an in-house, Java-based GUS Group development that is in use at several hundred SMBs in Central Europe.
»Innovation is a decisive factor in a classic sector like Enterprise Resource Planning – along with a wide range of functions, process reliability, and user friendliness,« said GUS CEO Heinz-Paul Bonn at the award ceremony, held on the first day of CeBIT. »ERP systems are at the heart of megatrends such as Industrie 4.0, Big Data Analytics, or the combination of mobile and cloud computing. The GUS-OS Suite is ready for them and the 2015 Innovation Prize underscores the fact.«
