  2. Tasks and specifics

EHRLE GmbH set up a new production facility designed according to the principles of lean manufacturing. New manufacturing processes were developed, and the coordination of production with intralogistics took centre stage. Additionally, the goal was to optimise storage management across several domestic and international locations by implementing a centralised system. Reply helped EHRLE GmbH redefine storage and production processes and implement the tried-and-tested Click Reply WM solution. This solution not only makes it possible to manage several warehouses at locations around the world; specific enhancements also allow it to play a key role in production. Enhanced sequencing function The connection between the storage management system Click Reply WM and the ERP system creates an integrated production: ERP tells the WMS which orders are pending. Using a sequencing function developed by Reply, Click Reply WMS calculates which parts and components are needed at what time on the five main production lines and in the 14 assembly sections. Andon displays improve transparency Efficient production requires more than just well-performing systems: The integration of human employees is decisive for smooth production processes. Reply installed Andon displays in the production area as an interface between intelligent systems and human employees; these monitors use a dashboard developed specifically for EHRLE GmbH by Reply, to provide employees with key information. This makes Click Reply WM a main component in EHRLE GmbH’s modern and highly efficient production process.
