Consafe Logistics modernizes Region Skåne's purchasing and distribution

MA-Skåne, Region Skåne's organisation for purchasing and supply chain management, has chosen Consafe Logistics for managing purchasing, warehouse management and distribution

The goal of the investment is to become more efficient and increase supply security of non-prescription products to hospitals and dental clinics within Region Skåne - The regional public body responsible for health, medical and dental services.

MA-Skåne, the region's largest public procurement organisation, found that its present system was out of date and did not support new processes. MA-Skåne chose to replace it using Consafe Logistics as a system integrator, purchasing its Astro Warehouse Management System together with the Jeeves Information System. They required a well-developed standard system that could manage purchasing of non-prescription products, surgical cloths, test tubes and hygiene articles.

MA-Skåne is restructuring to make its organisation more efficient. The goal is to create a modern, effective distribution system and to simplify further reorganisation as an when required. There is also a need to simplify routines. MA-Skåne can increase its level of service to its customers with the support of a modern warehouse, distribution and purchasing system, "By choosing Astro WMS and Jeeves, we get a well-developed standard system and a value for money solution that suits our business. Consafe Logistics co-operates with InfoCube who supplied the Jeeves Enterprise Systems. The order value is around 6 million SEK and the system is scheduled to go on-line in September 2006.
