New Order Entry Module enables 3PL providers to offer "warehouse-on-demand"
Consafe Logistics has developed a new Order Entry module for its modern Warehouse Management Systems that give 3PL providers the possibility of offering complete warehouse shelf hosting to smaller companies at minimum cost and with maximum flexibility.
Simplifies order processes
Previously, 3PL providers have found it extremely difficult or impossible to integrate small companies in their system as it took up too many resources and was too expensive. The Order Entry module replaces a technical interface between the 3PL provider and its customers. The module take care of the normal data flow such as defining items/articles, supplier information, customer information, purchase orders and delivery orders. The input could be fax, mail, phone etc.
Complete on-demand hosting
The solution strengthens cooperation between the 3PL providers and their customers, and brings real meaning to the term warehouse-on demand. The Order Entry module enables them to offer a complete low cost third party logistics service to their customers. These customers can instantly find all the information they need and see what is happening to their goods in real time. 3PL providers can now “host” shelves to a small customer and the module takes care of all information management for a very small integration cost.
Information totally transparent via the web
The Order Entry module will also be available as a web version enabling 3PL providers to offer a fully transparent service. Any 3PL providers can now open up its system, allocating a web page to customers where these customers can administrate their own suppliers, customers and orders, keying in orders, generating reports and managing statistics themselves. The system is able to mail the result of purchase order and orders back to the customer.
This enables all people involved with 3PL to rent out part of their warehouse to another company and then make all information available via the web.
Up and running directly
Once a company purchases the Order Entry module the system can be up and running in just a few days. What would once be a task that could take up to several months to add new customers is performed with a simple technical connection, drastically shortening lead times.
The Order Entry module works together will all later versions of Consafe Logistics WMS. It is not a stand alone module.
