New Sorting system for Ciblex in Brussels

Ciblex Benelux, a leading parcel handler in the optical and medical sector has seen their business grow significantly over the last years.

Their current distribution centre is not suited to handle the growing stream of parcels anymore. From January 2010 they will be operating from a larger warehouse, right next to their current distribution centre, using a brand new truxorter parcel sorting system from Vanderlande Industries.

The system will be handling up to 4 000 parcels per hour. This capacity will enable Ciblex to handle their volume in the shortest possible time span.

Each of the three infeed-stations is equipped with a dynamic weighing scale. A central camera ánd OCR system ensures all parcels are correctly identified and sorted to one of the 28 destinations.

Ciblex Benelux has chosen Vanderlande Industries for this project because of the flexible attitude in the design phase and due to their ability to get the system up and running in a very short time.
