MD Logistics moves toward enterprise-wide software platform with RedPrairie Warehouse and Workforce

19.10.2009

Leading contract logistics provider upgrades existing solution and selects new solution for 750,000 square foot operation

RedPrairie Corporation, a productivity software provider, announced today that MD Logistics has upgraded its existing RedPrairie Warehouse Management solution, and selected RedPrairie’s Workforce Management solution to support its two distribution facilities – totaling 750,000 square feet of space – in Plainfield, Ind. A leading contract logistics provider for clients in both the pharmaceutical and retail verticals, MD Logistics has been moving toward a single enterprise-wide software platform to support the entirety of its business.

“Our strength as an organization relies on our ability to provide customers with unparalleled visibility through the entire supply chain,” says MD Logistics President and CEO, Mark Sell. “Providing that visibility at an even higher level requires us to continue consolidating our solution set. Our customers have complex distribution demands that require proven, functionally-rich software.”

Sell continues, “Whether those issues are the various compliance requirements by which our pharmaceutical customers must abide, or the high velocity inherent in the retail supply chain, we know RedPrairie’s solutions are up to the task.”

“MD Logistics has clearly recognized many opportunities to cross-utilize resources within its business,” says RedPrairie CEO Mike Mayoras. “Diversified third-party logistic companies like theirs deal with some of the most complex distribution demands – we’re proud that our software continues to meet those demands.”
