Ctac opens French office and takes majority interest in Alpha Distri

New organization focuses on SAP solution for retail market
Ctac, the ICT service provider from ‘s-Hertogenbosch, opens an office in Paris, France.
The new organization emphasizes in particular on providing Ctac retail solutions to
medium sized businesses. Currently, France lacks powerful solutions for this specific
segment. Ctac enters the French market with its SAP template Fit4Retail and its multi
channel solution XV Retail. Both solutions offer all the necessary features for retailers
and are easy to implement. As a result, they offer retailers a quick return on
investment (ROI). Ctac appointed Jean-Claude Gandon as managing director of Ctac
France.
In the framework of further internationalization of XV Retail, Ctac’s multi channel
solution, the company will take a majority interest in Alpha Distri. Ctac already owns
the distribution rights for XV Retail within the Benelux region, in combination with SAP
ERP for retail. The other distribution rights are included in Alpha Distri. Ctac’s
distribution rights in Alpha Distri amount 20 percent of the total license and
maintenance turnover. For this controlling interest of 50.5 percent, Ctac will pay 0.4
million Euros.
With its SAP based retail portfolio Ctac has been very successful in the Benelux and
Nordic region. Various retail chains in the Netherlands deploy Ctac solutions, among
them KPN Retail and Agerland. With the Ctac SAP for Retail template a retailer is able
to support its core processes. XV Retail is an integrated environment for the
automation of Points of Sale, shop logistics, webshops and catalogues.
Ctac sets up this new office partly after a request from SAP France. Willy Koppens,
Business Unit Director Retail at Ctac: “The success of both Fit4Retail and XV Retail in
the Benelux region and Nordics, is more than enough a reason to expand to France.
Many medium sized retail businesses are looking for a new, integrated information
environment. However, they often do not have the scale for large SAP
2 implementations by major systems integrators. With its combined solution Ctac
perfectly links up with this market. We offer a pre-defined system that can be put into
operation very fast and provides immediate return on investment. Truly a unique
proposition in this market.”
Ctac France works closely together with SAP France. The company already contracted
its first clients. For the year 2010 it is expected that both Ctac France and the
acquisition of Alpha Distri will contribute positively to the earnings per share (EPS) of
Ctac.
