Streamlined warehouse management in Nestlé Waters Polska

Consafe Logistics has deployed Effect Warehouse, a WMS solution, in a branch of Nestlé Waters Polska, a Nestlé company. Nestlé is the world-largest corporation in the food industry. The branch produces and distributes the Nałęczowianka drinking water.
The new system provides clear and exact information on the stock levels and ensures rational management of the warehouse space.
The Effect Warehouse solution provides clear information about the space use and locations of stored goods. The system runs on the standard MS Windows platform and is integrated with the IFS Application software, an ERP system used for supply chain management.
"From our point of view, the key requirement was to deploy a system which would not only enable tracing products in the supply chain in qualitative terms, but also support warehouse operations. That was one of the main arguments in favor of Effect Warehouse. Warehouse management is now more efficient and simpler, because our personnel has full knowledge of product whereabouts, including batch numbers and other necessary parameters," says Jacek Korczykowski, IS/IT Manager and Market Purchasing Coordinator, Nestlé Waters Polska S.A. Legacy technology did not meet the personnel’s expectations anymore. Due to the fast expansion of the warehouse and the addition of new space, it was necessary to deploy a comprehensive solution supporting, among others, detailed identification of warehouse locations and exact control over the product batches (at pallet level). Effect Warehouse took over from the previous system, also deployed by Consafe Logistics, enabling data migration to the new WMS solution, and therefore ensuring uninterrupted operation of the warehouse. Also, the new solution supports barcodes on the production materials, helping in the organization and management of the warehouse and logistics. A feature very important from the warehouse management point of view is the capability to comfortably monitor the data from the whole facility on the system screen. Important information stored in the Effect Warehouse database may be visualized with various colors, which facilitates viewing such data as free locations, stock quality level, and documents under processing.
