Consafe Logistics deployed Effect 3.0, a WMS (Warehouse Management System) solution, in Abramczyk Sp. z o.o.
The Effect 3.0 solution will handle information about the processes executed every day in two facilities of the company, an old warehouse and a recently built high-bay warehouse, in real time. Also, the system will control and ensure compliance of product shipments. The system runs on a standard WMS platform and has been integrated with an ERP system from Simple.
"Our company needed a solution which would allow us to not only track the goods in the supply chain, but also ensure transparency of the operations, including receipts, issues and stocktaking," says Marek Ziębicki, CFO, Abramczyk Sp. z o.o. "We chose the Effect 3.0 solution because it will ensure more efficient operation of the warehouse, and will provide us with full visibility of product location."
Due to the large number of receipt and issue operations and the necessity to control the product weight, it was necessary to find a solution which would make those operations more efficient. The deployment of the WMS solution in the company required integration with pallet transporters, automatic scales (both standalone and installed on the transporters), and label applicators. In addition to standard issue operations, the solution supports also the production process and freehand issues to retail customers.
"In consideration of the customer’s needs, we mapped various models of product storing," says Piotr Chmielewski, project manager, Consafe Logistics. "Effect 3.0 is an end-to-end solution which includes a pre-deployment analysis, software, deployment services, and technical support. The system will optimize both the logistics processes and the warehouse space management."
The application uses mobile terminals from Consafe Logistics. The implementation took 3 months.
The Effect 3.0 solution brought the expected benefits almost immediately. The workers now have complete data about the goods, and can trace their flows from the moment of receipt to the moment of issue.
