Consafe Logistics places emphasis on Astro WMS to constantly evolve

We have a team of 9 experts collecting experience from customers, consultants and IT-experts. Twice a year the team introduces specific chosen improvements of Astro that are available to our customers.

For Consafe Logistics it is important that Astro WMS constantly evolves according to market needs. The need for IT-support in the warehouse, develops at the same pace as business developments and customer demands change.

Consafe Logistics has a team of 9 experts, focusing on collecting experience from customers, consultants and other IT-experts. Twice a year the team introduce new improvements of Astro, making them available to all customers. Some of the improvements are relevant for a certain type of customers or branches, while others are relevant for all customers. This procedure ensures a WMS which, at all times, matches the management and operational needs and demands.

The latest version of Astro WMS is 7.50 and contains a wide variety of major and minor improvements. It includes for example:

•  Increased performance management with enhanced visual overview of progress in today's warehouse operations, making it faster and easier to spot where the warehouse resources shall be deployed.
   
• Better optimisation of picking route, breakdown of the stock in time zones and the organization of picking orders based on driving distance and not only on priority
   
• More opportunities for multi-picking - new features offer more opportunities to pick multiple orders on the same route
   
• Improved ability for the picker to deliver a shipment unit directly to a truck
   
• Increased possibilities to return a shipment to location
   
• Ability to consolidate a set of orders and execute box calculation on orders (i.e. taking into account weight and volume for example, to find the proper shipping container)
