Bergendahls’ Granit selects Aldata

Streamline retail operations and enhance customer service
Aldata Solution, a global leader in retail and distribution improvement software, today announces that Granit, a homewares chain within the Bergendahls group in Sweden and Norway, has selected Aldata and Microsoft Dynamics® AX for Retail to improve inventory management across the group, increase store productivity and enhance its customer service by gaining real-time access to critical data from the back office and the point of sale (POS).
Granit is part of the larger Bergendahls Group, which is active in Norway, Denmark, Finland and Poland, and has a turnover of 10 billion SEK. Granit offers storage and home decoration products, and also supports its customers by offering creative advice on their home furnishing decisions.

Granit is currently rolling out Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail across its fifteen stores and it is expected that the Store and POS systems will go live in autumn 2011. Once complete, the organisation will be able to manage its POS terminals centrally, gaining superior inventory visibility and improving store operations.
In future, the retailer is also keen to investigate additional modules available as part of Aldata’s 1-2-1 Retail solutions, which will enable the retailer to better analyse, market, communicate and retain its most profitable customers.
