The 2015 Real Results Award winners are:

Edwards Lifesciences — Best Cost Savings

As the global leader in the science of heart valves and hemodynamic monitoring, Edwards Lifesciences is driven by a passion to help patients live longer, healthier and more productive lives. Faced with an increasingly complex global supply chain, the company partnered with JDA to transform its demand and supply planning processes. Thanks in part to JDA’s solutions, the company has achieved record forecast accuracy levels of 89 percent in the U.S. and adopted more flexible manufacturing planning processes. As a result, global fill rates have increased to 97.3 percent and inventory has been reduced by 13 percent. It has also decreased its global expedited logistics costs by $2.8 million from 2011–2013. In addition to achieving higher customer service levels, the company has secured new customers from the competition.

El Palacio de Hierro — Best Partner Project

El Palacio de Hierro operates a fast-growing chain of upscale department stores in Mexico. To support future business growth, the retailer partnered with JDA and netLogistiK, a JDA alliance member, to transform its outdated infrastructure into a modern and robust WMS platform. Leveraging JDA Warehouse Management, along with netLogistiK’s consulting, education and support services, El Palacio de Hierro has improved its response times substantially — increasing deliveries to stores by 25 percent, and deliveries to customers by 30 percent. It has also increased receiving capacity at its distribution center by 59 percent, and reduced inventory errors by 75 percent. In addition to improving its visibility and capacity levels, the company is now realizing annual cost savings of $580,000 due to increased productivity.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles — Best Collaboration

As the seventh largest automaker in the world, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA) has operations in 40 countries and commercial relationships with customers in approximately 150 countries. The company partnered with JDA to enhance its production planning and scheduling processes. Leveraging JDA Order Sequencing & Slotting, FCA can now consistently plan production across all of its global regions, incorporating both commercial and allocation requirements with detailed manufacturing constraints. Increased visibility has improved collaboration between the FCA commercial and manufacturing teams, enabling them to identify capacity issues earlier in the process so that work-around solutions can be deployed. The company has also improved its order-to-delivery process, resulting in increased customer satisfaction.

Grupo Marti — Best Result in Retail

Grupo Marti is the leading provider of sports equipment in Latin America, operating more than 270 stores across Mexico. To enhance its customer experience and increase the sales and profitability of its business, the retailer partnered with JDA to automate its manual replenishment processes. By using JDA’s solution, Grupo Marti now generates more accurate forecasts, taking into account factors such as seasonality and sales promotions. The retailer’s inventory management and store replenishment processes have also improved substantially. As a result, the company has increased sales by 56 percent and profit by 50 percent.

Working with JDA Consulting Services, Kenco went live with JDA Warehouse Management in just nine months — achieving full productivity within two weeks. Today, Kenco operates at a new level of efficiency, and provides this customer with greater visibility into the order process.
