With the new questionnaire, which was updated in the 17th year now into the next validation phase of WMS

03.02.2017

This year again, the annual validation of the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) listed on www.warehouse-logistics.com takes place. The very high quality of the information stored in the WMS database enables WMS customers to carry out reliably individual selection processes and detailed system comparisons on the basis of constantly updated manufacturer data.

Once again, »Team warehouse logistics« has updated and expanded the validation questionnaire to take into account the current market developments and trends and keep the WMS Database up to date for its role as a logistics platform for WMS vendors and WMS users.

The annual validation of the systems is based on the response to a questionnaire comprising around 3.700 criteria, about 15 percent of the data were updated in the current version 2017. This year, the categories »Hazardous Substances« and »Customs« sections were mainly focused and have been fundamentally revised. The list of questions in the area of (agile) project management as well as in the area of the route trains of production supply and disposal were also added.

The WMS Database on warehouse-logistics.com is one of the world’s largest platform for comparing the functionality of Warehouse Management Systems. By participating in the database, WMS vendors have the opportunity to present their products worldwide and have their system validated by the neutral »Team warehouse logistics«. After a system has been successfully validated, it is awarded a validation stamp – an industry quality seal. WMS users can use the extensive search criteria catalogue, which is based on the database-based WMS Online Selection tool, to quickly find the most optimal system for their warehouse or for their requirements. Visitors to the platform can also view information about validated WMS reference projects for each vendor.
