»Creating Visions« with new technologies

This year’s participants meeting of the Warehouse Logistics Community proceeds following the slogan »warehouse logistics – creating visions«. With the possibility of exchange around the topic Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), the event is increasing its popularity every year. The Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML invites the participants on October 19th 2017 for the seventeenth time now.
Considering specialist lectures and the innovation market place, the participants get an overview of the latest trends and future development, as well as an inside view of innovations regarding current research focuses of Fraunhofer IML. Among other things, innovations like EMILI (Ergonomic, Mobile, Interactive Load carrier for Intralogistics), Motion Mining and the use of Amazon Echo in intralogistics will be presented.
Additionally, the participants get the opportunity to discuss the topics throughout a World Café. The participants come together in small groups and get the possibility to exchange their individual experience and expert opinions on issues of current interest. Amongst others, the usage of WMS in microwarehouses and the integration of Chatbots into Warehouse Management Systems can be debated.
Corresponding to the motto »Creating Visions« the participants get access to Live Demos with particular attention to the usage of Virtual and Augmented Reality.
The participants meeting takes place on Thursday, 19th October 2017 from 9am to 4.30pm at Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML in Dortmund.
Members of the WMS database can register free of charge for the participants meeting. Registration is possible via letter, fax or e-mail. Furthermore there is an option to download a registration form via CMS.
