KNAPP presents new work station at LogiMAT

Digitization is transforming the world of work in logistics and production. Digital work stations and assistants already have a permanent place in the warehouse, providing the link between the employee and the warehouse technology. At the LogiMAT, from February 19–21, 2019, in Stuttgart, you can experience first-hand how KNAPP is outfitting industrial work stations for an interactive experience.

Work station and shuttle system form a unit

The goods-to-person work stationPick-it-Easy Evo and the OSR Shuttle Evo fit together seamlessly. The shuttle system forms the sequences for retrieval within the system itself, thereby allowing the work station to be directly connected to OSR Shuttle Evo. This saves space, and makes a trim work station design possible, as fewer target positions are needed. Each work station has access to every article in the shuttle system, achieving maximum flexibility, availability and an ideal workload distribution.

Humans and machines in conversation

Pick-it-Easy work stationsincrease order processing efficiency by reducing monotonous and heavy tasks while simultaneously raising thequality of delivery and service. The ergo-dynamic design, the easyUse intuitive user guidance system and automated checks within the processes guarantee maximum quality and performance. Pick-it-Easy Evo can be used in all sectors.

redPILOT, the GPS for warehouse operation

What awaits you at the LogiMAT: redPilot, the new software for sustainable optimization of the warehouse operation. Their motto: save money by using existing resources more intelligently. Like a navigation system, redPilot calculates the optimal operating and human resources for holistic operations scheduling. All the experience gained is used for machine learning, forming the basis for future planning and online optimization. redPilot is in use at the EDEKA HG Rhein-Ruhr at all 7 locations.
