History

Jungheinrich has been founded on August 7th, 1953 by Friedrich Jungheinrich and has developed from its roots as a small company with only ten employees to its size today as an international leading provider in the field of materials handling solutions with about 11.260 employees and to a top brand worldwide. Jungheinrich offers an extensive array of products with fork lifts, shelving systems, logistical overall solutions as well as services and consulting.

Since 2011 the production locations in Norderstedt and Lünebug (both near Hamburg) and in Moosburg near Munich as well as in Landsberg near Halle are complemented by a factory in Qingpu, Shanghai (China).

To substantially enlarge the footprint as logistics system provider Jungheinrich AG acquired the remaining 75 percent of ISA GmbH – Innovative System solutions for Automation - which is headquartered in Graz, Austria on January 1st, 2013. ISA – A Jungheinrich company - is one of the leading warehousing and material flow engineering software companies and remains an autonomous company at its current location and will be assigned to Jungheinrich`s sales division of logistics systems.

Jungheinrich WMS 5.2a

Description

The Jungheinrich WMS allows you to control any warehouse: block / pallet warehouses, drive-through / adjustable pallet racking warehouses, modular racking systems and fully automatic systems with rack operating and materials handling equipment. All areas of the warehouse (e.g. goods-in, goods-out, buffer zones and picking areas) are managed, the entire material flow controlled and optimized.

The Jungheinrich WMS is a flexible system. It can be adapted to your intralogistics processes through a range of parameters and settings that can be adjusted even during operation.

From the implementation to the commissioning of Jungheinrich WMS, Jungheinrich relies on the compliance of the following requirements.

Additional modules are available for special requirements. These can be extended, modified or even completely re-produced if required.

In addition to the module Truck Management System which optimally coordinates transport procurement in your warehouse Jungheinrich WMS offers with the Hazardous Material Warehouse Module the possibility to manage storage areas with articles categorized as hazardous material due to certain conditions. The Warehouse Accounting Module enables charging of fees for performances and activities rendered for one or several clients (by means of the Client Enabling Module) i.e. at goods-in or at picking areas. Furthermore activities not directly dealing with warehousing (like repacking, labeling or washing) can be defined and charged.

With the help of the Packing Bundle Pre-Calculation Module Jungheinrich WMS is able to pre-calculate required packing bundles in advance. The control of every automatic system (conveyor systems, stacker cranes, curve going stacker cranes etc.) is guaranteed by the Material Flow Computer Module.

An extensive reporting system and a whole host of individually configured evaluation options managed by an integrated SQL generator ensure complete transparency.

The Jungheinrich WMS can be connected to many existing system environments through standard interfaces.
