The Transporeon journey started with a simple purpose: to connect shippers and carriers. Now more than 20 years into that journey, Transporeon has become the Transportation Management Platform, a diverse portfolio of freight applications that equally serves all participants in the network: shippers, brokers, logistics service providers, asset-based carriers as well as goods recipients. Our focus is on digitalising and transforming transportation for all.

Transportation is essential to the global flow of goods -- life sustaining goods. Transportation is the connective tissue linking people, places and things. Transportation carries the economy on its back. But transportation is still vulnerable to unexpected changes and challenges. The last few years have shown the chaos that results when our transportation system is knocked out of sync with the world.

Thanks to new solutions, innovations and readily available digital support, Transporeon continues to create efficiencies in transport execution that have a positive impact on the economy, boost individual business results and benefit the environment. Transporeon is bringing transportation in sync with our world.

History

Transporeon was founded in 2000 by Axel Busch, Peter Förster, Roland Hötzl and Marc-Oliver Simon. The first products dealt with the assignment of transports and the organisation of loading and unloading ramps. Over the next few years, Transporeon grew steadily in terms of customers, employees, products and locations. In 2022, Transporeon had over 1000 employees in 21 locations around the world. At the end of the year, it was announced that Trimble, a company specialising in industrial technology, would acquire Transporeon. The sale was successfully completed in April 2023.
