Shape logistics IT sustainably with »warehouse logistics«!

13.10.2021

The »Team warehouse logistics« of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML invites all participants of the Logistics IT Database to a digital network meeting again this year. Under the motto »Shape logistics IT sustainably with warehouse logistics!«, this year's participant meeting will take place in a digital setting on 28 October 2021.

Look forward to the exciting opening lecture by Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Michael ten Hompel. He will address the topic of the rise of the Silicon Economy and introduce the event. This will be followed by a contribution from Kira Schmeltzpfenning on news and current developments on the »warehouse logistics« platform.

This year, the interactive, »digital World Café« will once again be part of the event, where various topics relating to sustainability in logistics IT will be discussed. We offer you as a participant of the database the opportunity to discuss topics such as ecological sustainability and digitalisation, open source, cloud solutions and much more.

You can also look forward to a presentation by Linda Wings and Tobias von Preetzmann on the »resource planning study«. They will present the advancing digitalisation in warehouses and elaborate on the available resource planning systems for demand-oriented planning and control of employees in an industrial context.

Within the programme item Innovation Exchange meets »Digital Sandbox«, scientists from the Fraunhofer Institute will present the latest developments on topics such as Nature Ident or Digital consignment note in a stimulating exchange. The aim is to broaden the participants' range of knowledge and show them new possibilities for sustainability with regard to logistics IT. Afterwards, there will be an open exchange with the speakers of the »Digital Sandbox« and the »Team warehouse logistics«.

The digital meeting will take place on Thursday, 28 October 2021 from 9:00 to 16:30. Registration for the industry meeting is free of charge for all members of the »WMS database« and possible after logging in at Home (warehouse-logistics.com).
