Artificial intelligence in WMS – taking a look at the future of intralogistics management

Logistics & Automation Bern 2024 will be presenting the most recent developments, technologies and trends in intralogistics and automation with a focus on the future of intralogistics technology. CIM is proud to be taking a leading role by shaping the future of intralogistics. Artificial intelligence (AI) is considered a key technology which will play an indispensable role in future. In a two-year collaboration, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and CIM examined the impact of this technology on process optimisation in intralogistics and tested its practical feasibility using real-world data sourced from a customer company. The result is a practice-based article on artificial intelligence in WMS providing a look at the future of intralogistics management, which is published in a book on process optimisation in intralogistics by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML.
