Mecalux to digitise three Sidler Transporte & Logistik warehouses in Switzerland

The 3PL operator Sidler Transporte & Logistik will implement advanced management of its three warehouses in Switzerland with Mecalux software. "The installation of Easy WMS in our warehouses is a strategic step to improve the relationship with our customers, streamline operations, reduce costs, increase productivity and consolidate continuous improvement," explains Fredy Sidler, CEO of Sidler Transporte & Logistik.

Mecalux's software will monitor in real time the status of Sidler Transport & Logistik's stocks distributed in the three warehouses in Rotkreuz, in the heart of Switzerland. At the same time, it will organize operations and distribute work among operators, taking into account the specific needs of customers from different industries.

To increase the performance of its processes, the company will install four Easy WMS modules: WMS for third-party warehousing (3PL), Multi-Courier Shipping Management Software, Value added Services (VAS) and Labour Management System (LMS).

With the WMS module for third-party warehousing (3PL), Sidler Transport & Logistik will optimize all warehouse operations to provide a better service. This system will consist of three sub-modules: The 3PL Customer Portal, which will allow customers to access the system to inquire about the status of items, 3PL Invoicing, to generate billing reports that specify the services provided to each customer, and Customer-Specific Logic, which can adjust logistics processes according to each customer's requirements.

To ensure that deliveries comply with these requirements, the 3PL operator will also install Value Added Services (VAS) This module will guide operators through their tasks to complete the value-added work order. With this digital solution, the company will be able to customize orders quickly and without errors.

Digitalization will mark a significant improvement in one of Sidler Transport & Logistik's most important processes: shipping. The Multi-Carrier Shipping Management Software module will direct operators in packaging and labeling. It will also automate the management of shipments through the delivery agencies that distribute the goods.

Finally, with the Labor Management System (LMS), the company will evaluate the performance of the different activities carried out in its three warehouses and monitor workflows. In this way, you will be able to identify opportunities to help improve logistics processes.
