FIS/PackingCenter: New FIS Logistics Solution for Packing Directly in the SAP Warehouse Process

With FIS/PackingCenter, FIS Informationssysteme und Consulting GmbH presents a new solution for packaging and shipping processes on the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). The solution aims to map packaging directly within the warehouse process and avoid typical media breaks between the warehouse, shipping preparation, and shipping providers. FIS is partnering with AEB to achieve this, combining SAP logistics expertise with global shipping provider connectivity.
In many companies, the packaging of shipments currently involves several system steps. Data must be exchanged between warehouse and ERP systems via complex interfacescenarios,changes shortly before shipping lead toadditionaleffort, and the integration of shipping service providers is often associated with manual maintenance.The FIS/PackingCenteraddresses preciselythese issues: Packaging processes are mapped directly within the warehouse context, employees receive a clear overview of the packaging hierarchy, and shipping data can be transferred to connected service providers in a structured manner.

Partnership with AEB Creates Synergy from Two Core Competencies
For connecting shipping providers, FIS is partnering with the software provider AEB. While FIScontributesitsexpertisein developing SAP solutions and integratinglogisticsprocesses, AEB handles the connection and maintenance of over 300 shipping provider interfaces.
