The »warehouse logistics« community celebrated the 20th participants meeting with us!

Under the motto »Shaping logistics IT sustainably with warehouse logistics«, around 55 national and international participants attended this year's participant meeting on 28 October, which also took place in a digital setting this year. The participants gained interesting insights into topics about sustainability within logistics IT.
The focus of this year's participants' meeting was mainly on the topic of sustainability. In addition, interesting lectures were held, such as the opening lecture by Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Michael ten Hompel, who dealt with the emergence of the Silicon Economy. This was followed by a contribution by Kira Schmeltzpfenning on news and current developments on the »warehouse logistics« platform.
This year, the interactive »Digital World Café« was back again, where various topics related to sustainability in logistics IT were discussed. The intensive exchange between the participants about ecological sustainability and digitalisation, open source, cloud solutions and much more was a great success.
The participants were also given an informative insight into the resource planning study by Linda Wings and Tobias von Preetzmann.
As part of the programme item Innovation Exchange meets »Digital Sandbox«, scientists from the Fraunhofer Institute presented the latest developments on topics such as Natur-Ident or Digital Waybill in an inspiring exchange. This was followed by an open exchange with the speakers of the »Digital Sandbox« and the »Team warehouse logistics«.
