FIS Obtains Validation for SAP EWM and SAP LES from Fraunhofer IML

The prestigious seal of quality underlines the FIS expertise in the field of Warehouse Management as provider on the »warehouse logistics« portal

FIS GmbH has obtained the validation for its SAP EWM and SAP LES products from Fraunhofer IML. Since spring 2016, FIS has been registered as expert for the implementation of projects with SAP EWM and SAP LES on the »warehouse logistics«portal, which is the leading portal for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) of the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML).Now, FIS can proudly present the validation signet of Fraunhofer IML.

The SAP EWM and SAP LES products were validated for FIS after a detailed validation procedure, in the course of which the FIS WMS professionals had to answer approximately 3,500 questions for each product. During a two-day validation meeting, all issues were successfully discussed with Fraunhofer IML. This validation underlines the great FIS expertise in the field of Warehouse Management. Within the competition environment of »warehouse logistics«, FIS presents itself as being up-to-date in terms of technology and skills.

SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) is the strategic SAP solution for processes and functions of warehouse management and warehouse control. As a flexible warehouse management system, it can be used for the continuous designing of warehouse processes. It is based on well-proven SAP LES (Logistics Execution System) structures and strategies. This flexibility enables a very high coverage of the relevant warehouse processes in the standard version. The direct connection of warehouse automation technology considerably reduces the number of interfaces. With SAP EWM and SAP LES, SAP provides diverse industry-independent logistics solutions for covering warehouse logistics processes.
