Aldata to supply G.O.L.D. to AGRAVIS in Germany

Warehouse Management System for AGRAVIS’ new Distribution Centre

AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG is the leading company in the agro-economy in Northern Germany. The agricultural retailer and service provider, headquartered in Mnster and Hanover, is the N 1 co-operative for the areas farming and rural community.

AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, based on a study for logistics centralisation performed by AGRAVIS and i+o Industrieplanung + Organisation GmbH & Co KG of Heidelberg, is concentrating large parts of its logistics activities in the Mnster area. The construction of a new distribution centre, integrating hazardous materials, has been launched in an industrial area close to the biggest production location in Mnster. The distribution centre will go into production at the end of 2006.

For the management and control of the distribution centre, AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG has selected the Aldata G.O.L.D. Stock warehouse management system. The project is to start immediately.

"The basic WMS requirements were high process stability, batch tracing, optimal planning, business support in order preparation, the openness of the system and the fact that it had be to very standard. In addition to these, optimisation and control were also key deciding features in our choice, says Mr. Anselm Schierle, i+o Divisional Director.

Furthermore, personal planning, resource planning and pick face optimisation, based on picking orders and picking costs, will be managed by the G.O.L.D.
