SIMONA AG has selected Aldata G.O.L.D. for integrated warehouse automation

SIMONA AG has decided for Aldata as its software and integration partner to modernise the warehouse management of the automated high racking systems at its locations in Kirn and Ringsheim

Stuttgart, March 3rd, 2005 - In parallel with the company-wide implementation of SAP, the logistics subproject will see the integration of Aldatas software G.O.L.D. WACOS (Warehouse Control System) with the SAP LES warehouse management system for a future-oriented warehousing.

SIMONA AG based in Kirn (Rhineland-Palatine) is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of thermoplastic semi-finished products in Europe. Through a worldwide net of subsidiaries and sales partners, SIMONA also distributes its thermoplastic products on non-European continents.

Aldata delivers with G.O.L.D. the platform for connecting the automated technology components such as scanners, printing systems, scales, automated cranes or material handlings equipment and also integrates the new warehouse solution into the SAP R/3 environment.

"We are making qualitatively high demands on our new warehouse management system partner for this logistics subproject of our overall project SUSI (Simona Unternehmenssoftware International). Aldatas large experience internationally in activities such as roll out was also a positive deciding factor", adds Mrs Drte Brunche, leader of Simonas I.T. software development.

A careful decision and selection process for the evaluation of the solution partner was carried out by a SIMONA team specially established in the middle of 2004. "Because Aldata applies a minimal Black box functionality approach, this means that the integration of G.O.L.D. WACOS with SAP will be as much as possible a standard integration, and furthermore, that SIMONA becomes largely independent in terms of support and also makes further development possible", adds Wolf-Rdiger Seel, I.T. leader at SIMONA.
