»20 years warehouse logistics - A logistics platform in change«: Participants celebrated anniversary with us!

Under the motto »20 years of warehouse logistics - A logistics platform in change«, around 65 national and international participants visited the 19th meeting of participants on 29 October, which this year took place in a digital setting.
The participants gained interesting insights into the 20-year history of »warehouse logistics«, the expansion of the platform as well as current developments in the fields of intralogistics, IT and warehouse management systems.
The focus of this year's participants' meeting was above all the 20-year history of »warehouse logistics« and the associated new platform expansion. In addition, inspiring lectures were held, such as the opening lecture by Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Michael ten Hompel, who dealt with the topic »Silicon Economy«.
The new programme item »Start-up Exchange« was also very well received by the participants. Here, young companies and their innovations in the fields of intralogistics and IT were presented. This gave participants the opportunity to discover new innovations and to expand their professional and technical knowledge spectrum.
In addition, the participants were given an insight into the current Market Report 2020, the developments and trends in the WMS market, the functionalities of WMS and their modularity in the WMS market.
Within the framework of the innovation exchange as a »Digital Sandbox«, scientists from the Fraunhofer Institute presented the latest developments on topics such as »artificial intelligence« and »picking assistance« in a stimulating exchange. The »Team warehouse logistics« thus succeeded in showing the participants new possibilities of digitalisation and (intra-)logistics and in expanding their know-how.
