New E-commerce Functionalities in PSIwms Release 2021

Preconfigured processes facilitate the workflows of e-commerce companies

Success in e-commerce depends significantly on a well-functioning warehouse management. A warehouse management system tailored to the specific needs of the industry helps e-commerce retailers to avoid potential points of friction in the warehouse.

For example, a WMS should be easily scalable with respect to the fulfillment activities of an e-commerce company. This is the only way to meet increasing order volumes without sacrificing delivery speed or order accuracy.

With the Release 2021, the warehouse management system PSIwms was expanded to include various e-commerce specific functionalities. These enable a direct start with the system, as well as a largely reduced project time for PSIwms customers.

Processes that are already preconfigured and adapted to e-commerce workflows include, for example: Incoming goods and outgoing goods by scanning the items, optimizations for small orders, in particular those with one article or one piece of goods (super singleton) as well as integrated activity tracking (calculation of key figures).

In addition, the structure of the work masks facilitates rapid familiarization in order to be able to absorb peaks with additional employees during peak season periods, such as Christmas or Black Friday.
