»warehouse logistics« is now also registered as a Union trade mark by the European Union Intellectual Property Office.

19.01.2022

As a result, the »warehouse logistics« platform fulfils the protection right of a figurative mark with word elements and is now also officially recognised and registered as a »Union trade mark« by the European Union Intellectual Property Office.

In the course of this, »warehouse logistics« underlines important aspects of a strong brand, such as international appearance, many years of successful consistency, professionalism and clear distinctiveness. Once granted, the EU trade mark has a validity period of ten years and can then be renewed for an unlimited period. In addition, it grants the »warehouse logistics« trade mark a uniformly valid protective right in all member states of the European Union.

The »Team warehouse logistics« of Fraunhofer IML has had the word and figurative trade mark rights protected within the Union trade mark grant in the areas of research work/market, IT consulting, information services and training and further education, among others.

European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO)

The European Union Intellectual Property Office has administered and granted EU trade mark and design rights, the Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights and the Orphan Works Database since 1994. More than 150,000 trade mark and 90,000 design applications are filed with EUIPO each year, and the Office receives and examines these applications. It also promotes the harmonisation of the procedures of the national IP offices in the EU through cooperation within the European Union Intellectual Property Network.
